Heavens to etsy: titaniumhip

December 3rd, 2009

So the radio interview went smoothly yesterday — and we DID get to wear those huge earphones, wouldn’t you know it! The other in-studio crafter was Meeka, whose etsy shop (called titaniumhip) I checked out and was wowed by when I got home. If you do drop by the Ladyfest Tarts ‘n’ Crafts show this Saturday, keep your eyes peeled for her adorable toothy handmade/hand-painted creatures:

You can definitely see her mad animator skills shining through… And it’s no wonder she sold out of her sock monkeys at her last show!

If there were more time before Saturday, I’d ask Meeka to do a Lightning Round with me — but I wanted to show you these before the show this weekend. Woohoo for local talent!

You can also find Meeka’s work at:

  1. The Workshop Boutique in Ottawa (Dalhousie Street)
  2. Maclaren Art Centre in Barrie (Mulcaster Street)
  3. her blog

And I know I’ve beaten this info to a pulp… but here are the Ladyfest deets yet again:

Ladyfest Tarts ‘n’ Crafts Holiday Sale — Sat. Dec. 5th from 10 am – 5pm
at the Jack Purcell Community Centre (320 Jack Purcell Lane, Ottawa)
$2 admission (proceeds to support women in the Ottawa Arts Community)

NB: Wear layers and be prepared to carry your coat; it gets HOT in the JP gym!

Drop by, check out Meeka’s sock monkeys, and come say hullo :)
