Where the Wild Emily will be on October 16th…
April 6th, 2009
Yes, that’s right — Where the Wild Things Are is being adapted for screen, and will be released on October 16th of this year. When I first heard about it, I cringed; this couldn’t be good news. Then I saw this trailer, and now I’m fully intrigued — it looks pretty darn amazing.
I have to admit, I didn’t know about the book until I was well past the age-appropriate window. Even then, I loved the illustrations and the spirit of the story. From what I understand though, this book holds a special place for a LOT of people, and from very early on in their lives. I’d love to hear what Where the Wild Things Are means to you!
As an aside… did you catch Tony Soprano’s voice as Carol???

I have to admit that I had similar concerns about how they were going to interpret things with the movie but having seen another trailer and now yours, I’m excited to check it out too. From what I’ve seen, I think they’ve done a pretty good job with Max and his wolf costume!
Sounds fantastic. Daniel got it when he was born from a good friend of mine – his son loves the book (his name is Max). It’s a great book..
I too am intrigued after watching the trailer. It makes me want to see the movie.
It is a wonderful book, let’s hope the movie will be too!
I’m loving this trailer. It’s amazing! I’ve been reading the book to my sons. Hopefully by the time the movie comes out, it will mean something special to them too.
