Tap tap tap…

Is this thing on?
(Actually, if it’s Rock Band, you’re lucky if it’s not ;)

This is my “Enough about me, more about you!” post.

It blows me away that for each of the last few months, I’ve gotten more visitors than I did for the whole of 2008. So my question is: who are you??

It must get a little tiresome with the yap yap yap — all me, all the time. So I wonder if you might be willing to take a turn at the mic… pretty please?

Who are you?
What turns your crank?
Can you suggest any etsians and/or artists I should feature?
Introvert or extrovert?
Got any music to recommend?
Anything here you’d like to see less/more of?
Wanna share an inspiring link?
What are you most proud of at this very second?
Who would you thank first if you won an Oscar?
Chocolate or vanilla?
What’s your fallback karaoke tune?
Haiku: yes or no?
Who makes you laugh the loudest?
…or whatever else comes to mind!

Have at it and have some fun — it’s your turn!

I’d love to send a little care package to whoever makes me crack the biggest grin. Please leave a valid email address if you’re interested in playing along. Thanks so much!

    1. I am just your local fiesty redhead dance instructor – who you pretty much sponser, at this point.
    2. My cranks haven’t been turned in awhile, but I’ll say dancing – it brings me to life and makes my spirit fly!
    3. I learn about most esians through you, so keep up the good work!
    4. Extrovert! Exceedingly so!
    5. TONS! To name a few: Xavier Rudd (he’s amazing), Sufjan Stevens, Elliot Smith, Pacifika, Travis… oh i could go on and on….
    6. PICTURES! I’m such a fan of photos – I don’t even care what they are of – maybe one day you should do a ‘day in the life of Em, in photos”
    7. This may only be inspiring to me, but – http://www.canadianaffair.ca/
has the greatest deals on cheap flights to the Uk!
    8. At this VERY second I am most proud of being Top Overall Female Teacher of Fred Astaire Canada. A title I will hold until January ‘10, unless I kick everyone’s ass again. :)
    9. I would thank my Mommy – she’s been passed away for almost 6yrs now, she rules :)
    10. CHOCOLATE. I’m addicted. Seriously.
    11. After careful consideration I’m going with either “Africa” by toto, or “The General” by Dispatch! Final Answer(s).
    12. “If you’d like to know
All you have to do is ask
    I’m an open book.” :)
    13. Well, this is probaby the toughest question because I laugh ridiculously loud at everything….But I have a good friend, Nathan, who makes me spit my drinks, snort my milk, and choke on food.

    Hope you learned something! :)

Who are you? Crazy Nerd, obsessed with over-nerding movies and such, trying sort of kind of to be an artist.

What turns your crank? Right now, the TV show Supernatural and Sam Worthington (guh!)

Can you suggest any etsians and/or artists I should feature? blacklillypie.etsy.com

Introvert or extrovert? Depends, if I can get serious for a minute. I have social anxiety/phobia, so when I get passed that, extrovert. Mostly, I like to just sit back and observe.

Got any music to recommend? Zoe Keating

Anything here you’d like to see less/more of? I think you’re doing fab, so keep doing whatever makes you happy with your blog!

Wanna share an inspiring link? I’ll give you two because the vids are short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txrikNFX-8E&fmt=18

What are you most proud of at this very second? That I haven’t had a complete brain meltdown at my place of employment

Who would you thank first if you won an Oscar? I’d thank my hormones because my entire reason for wanting to get into acting would be to get “some”, if you catch what I’m dropping. Huh? Yeah? ;)

    Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate!

What’s your fallback karaoke tune? That’s a tough one … Eye of the Tiger? Don’t Stop Believin’? Definitely some cheddar-filled big hair rock. Or The Lovecats! :)

Haiku: yes or no? I tried to make one/But the words wouldn’t come out/Left with a brain fart

Who makes you laugh the loudest? When people fall (myself included), Paul Rudd, my brother

    2. Hmmm…interesting question but probably when I get into a really goofy mood and do these hilarious nonsense of a dance. Sorry no public appearances.
    3. Have you featured Adele from modernemotive?
    4. Depends on the situation, big groups/parties introvert but extrovert one-on-one.
    5. Hoping you could help me out in that area.
    6. Keep up the good work, but I like your idea of featuring artists. I love reading bios.
    7. http://hollymaus.blogspot.com/2009/02/digital-collage.html
    8. Having a healthy and happy daughter.
    9. Probably would feel obligated to thank God first and then my family.
    10. Vanilla bean please
    11. Um no thanks. See answer to question 4.
    12. Sure.
    13. My daughter. At 20 months she is hilarious!

It’s been great getting to know you. :)

    1. Many hats to wear mom, small business owner, taxi driver, chef, life coach, minor hockey assistant coach etc.
    2. The ocean, a good brisk wind, my dog being her loopy self, my kids being their loopy selves, creative people, dancing, hockey.
    3. Do you know blend creations (http://blendcreations.com/)?
    4. A bit of both – very similar to Bridgett.
    5. Love music of all kinds but I’m drawing a blank today!
    6. Just keep up the good work and keep letting me know where I’ll be able to see your work. Some day, I’ll make it out to see it all in person!
    7. My links will be about food, of course (lots of recipes!): Two peas and their pods: http://lichtyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/ and Smitten Kitchen: http://smittenkitchen.com/
    8. My kids: a teen and a tween that are doing us very proud right this minute (don’t know about later today though!)
    9. Maman et Pop!
    10. Chocolate first or only the best quality vanilla
    11. Probably something by Edith Piaf (would they have old French tunes on Karaoke???)
    12. Nah.
    13. My dog being loopy (see 2)
    Keep up the good work!

    1. A former co-worker and lover of all things mchen.
    2. What a broad question! Let’s see: funny people, writing my blog, dating-gone-wrong stories, sports, driving fast to good music, cooking, feeling loved, hanging with the ‘phews, and on and on and on.
    3. Nope – I try to stay away from anything shopping related – Visa doesn’t like supporting my ‘poster child for no self control’ habits. Let me rephrase that – I don’t like paying Visa back for supporting my habits.
    4. Introvert in extrovert’s clothing.
    5. Lately I’m into Verve remixs of jazz and older songs. One of my favs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARDdBujOJsE
    6. More re[designs]. :o)
    7. http://100goals100weeks.blogspot.com/
    8. Going from 0 nights of sports to 5 nights in a year and a bit. And doing some of these solo without a safety net of friends to play with and give me a ‘comfort’ zone. Big steps for an introvert.
    9. Winning an Oscar requires acting, non? Okay, okay, I’ll play along. My brother – for always being there for me and with whom I have a bond like no other.
    10. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate cake.
    11. I’ve never sung karaoke *blush* but it’s on the ‘26 things to accomplish in 2009′ list. You offering to take me?
    12. LOL – I started the Friday PM Office Haiku group on Facebook and post from my office haiku book. My fav:
    Headline will read
    ‘Supervisor beaten to
    Death with coffee mug.’
    13. As conceited as it sounds – me. Man I crack myself up. Mostly with the stupid things I do that I then realize are really stupid and laugh my a** off with other people when I tell the stories. Like (unknowingly) returning used windshield wipers. Or frustratingly spending a good amount of time trying to drill a hole in reverse. Or texting profanities to friends houses accidentally.

Who are you? The answer to that question is never the same day to day. In this context, I’m an often bemused side-line observer of social media, and someone who loves the opportunity to follow a friend’s adventures.

What turns your crank? My wife, my boy, and as many outdoor sports as my broken body can handle.

Can you suggest any etsians and/or artists I should feature? I am wildly unqualified to answer this question.

Introvert or extrovert? In business? 100% extrover. In life, 60% into, 40% extro.

Got any music to recommend? Can’t beat Bruce Springsteen or Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Anything here you’d like to see less/more of? I love the behind-the-scenes and technical items you’ve posted. I’m very interested in finding out how you get such a great final product, and the steps involved.

Haiku: yes or no? Do I like haiku?
    Two syllables in stone-uh?
    Hard to remember.

The limited answer is, “completely”. Sure, thdre are auctions you
do nott wipl need a Dealer License to take par in (anybody can go).

And certainly, you can acquire cars at beneath industry costs
and resell them for revenue in the $five hundred too $4,000

Audio enticing? Very well, although do-capable, I will
not want it to sound as well quick.

My own preference iss tto “cherry choose” the auctions for the later-model and reduce-mileage cars and trucks.
There are other individuals who choose to resolve up more mature vehicles with mwchanical and/or physical appearance challenges.

While thi woul seem to perform properly for them, it iis just not our market. It
also normally takes a lot more time and all those doing it actually have to
be fairly professional about cars and trucks.

So, I am going tto produce about the possible
income opportunities only from my own issue of see, bearing in mind that there are other motor vehicle buying and marketing procedures that
    work as very well.

The notion off “flipping” cars is pretty easy actually. What you want to do is invest inn a motor vehicle
at a price significantly plenty of underneath eebook values that you can promote it at
an remarkable price aand nevertheless make a pleasant profit.

This is a correct acquire/gain for each the buyer and the vendor, earning these types of motor vehicles
    the fastest to offer.

You can come across these automobiles by contactihg and figuring out desperate
“by owner” sellers. But this usually takes time and strong negotiating abilities.
Also, these sellers would likely trade in their cars before accepting a offer
    below trade-in value.

Public auto auctions are usually a a lot muuch better option. There are several cars to choose from
and the prices compensated can be challenging to
conquer. Though forget all that “cars and trucks for $one hundred!” or “90% off retail!” marketing and advertising buzz we see oon the net.

And the selection and good quality of the motor vehicles
at these auctions haas amplified considerably in latest months owing to the
terrible economic moments we’re at present in.

But what do you glikpse for in a car or truck to capitalize
    on this?

Well, I will not definitely have a pure definition I can put into words and phrases.
It is really primarily a “widespread sense” matter, blended in with a little understanding.
What I can say is that you ccan expecdt to know them when you see
them as you preview the listings a few dags before an auction. They type of just jump out at you.

I would recommend searching for mid-priced vehicles ($4,000 to $ten,000) with superior need and
a track record for top quality (possibly anything like a Toyota
Corolla) with average or reduced mileage. I’d also propose heading soon after pretty much any vehicle that stands out for the reason tgat of “exceptionally” reduced mileage (driven a lot ledss than 8,000 miles a
    calendar year).

Then, concentrate on a buying rate which is typically sixty% to seventy five% under its trade-in value (you will be surprised how normally you can be the successful bidder at a cost like this).
This means itt can be resold at an exceptionally eye-catching
value. This is a big competitive gain when it will
    come to reselling.
