This Friday is Game 7 of the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Detroit Red Wings showdown for the Stanley Cup. I thought I’d look for some related items on etsy as I count down the hours to the game… and voilà!

So I don’t actually care too much who wins the Cup, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for Sid the Kid… here’s a fun snapshot from a couple of years ago:
We went to Punta Cana for our friends’ wedding, and Crosby was at the same resort — nice kid.

See, for some reason, I can’t stand “Sid the Kid” … probably because Pat can’t stand him (since I really don’t care that much about sports). I guess it’s just all the hype he gets (“he speaks so well in front of the cameras” so he’s always in front of the cameras…) – I don’t know… he’s annoying. :P
Plus, I’ve always liked Detroit. When I first started paying attention to hockey (back in grade 8 or so), Detroit (with Yzerman <3) won the cup 2 years in a row… so they were “my” team from then on.
GO DETROIT!
Anyway, Don Cherry predicted it – they’re going to win at home this year. :D
