WIPEOUT.

I tried tubing for the first time in my life last weekend… this video is of my last run. John’s on the solo red tube on the left, I’m doubling up with my friend Kim, and I’m on the far right. Our buddy Colin was at the wheel, and did what he calls the ‘full circle attack’. The result, just before the 1 minute mark, is that we gals hit a very rough patch of crossing wakes. We got huge air, my neck went distinctly “cra-cra-cra-crack!” when I landed back on the tube, and I kept my toes pointed the entire time…

10 points for style?

    Um…. are you ok? Cracking necks are not always a good thing – unless you’re at the chiropractor.

    The Lab looking on with the look back at the driver at the end is the best part of the whole vid. “Did you mean to do that to them?”

    Oh ya. The dogs expression says it all…

    Ouch! That’s why you couldn’t pay me to go tubing.

    What I can’t tell is if John is raising his hand to say, ‘whoa, stop, we’re minus two chiquitas here’ or if that’s a still-trying-to-balance-and-not-fall-off-himself fist pump.

    @Highoncraft
    I was quite sore for a couple of days, to be sure… but overall, a-ok — thanks!

    @LTP
    Ha, you caught him. Colin, the driver, had actually told John a couple of runs earlier to hold on tight, because he was going to try and get us girls off our tube. But the solo tube was a lot harder to stay on top of, and John was knocked off before us a couple of times. That’s when Colin pulled out the ‘full circle attack’ ridiculousness, and so yes: that was John fist-pumping because he’d managed to stay on longer than us. Don’t worry, I gave him a little hell about that one ;)
